CCTA is an Australian registered business (A.B.N. 639 394 407 92 ) and is divided into 3 different sections:
CCTA Indonesian Language & Culture Programs
CCTA Tours for individualists with specific interests and a sense of adventure
CCTA Clever Connections to Asia, a consultancy for community development projects, research and training.
CCTA Language Programs cater for people from around the globe with an interest in Indonesian language, culture and society. Minimum age for participants is sixteen. There is no maximum age for participants.
CCTA operates in conjunction with highly trained academic staff of the UPT Pusat Bahasa (Language Centre of the Mataram University) in Lombok. Further, specially selected local artisans are involved in CCTA to make this program a unique learning experience. Some of our arts and music electives in Lombok are taught in traditional villages.

A Memorandum of Understanding between Universitas Mataram and CCTA was signed on February 7, 2002 for the Lombok Program.
Participants from all professional backgrounds are welcome at CCTA: Teachers of language, arts and crafts, graduates of professional courses and employees from various government departments, aid workers, journalists, scientists and business people wishing to augment their career prospects with intense language programs combined with a variety of electives developing cultural awareness as well as travellers and members of the general public wanting to take home more than just souvenirs and a tan.
CCTA's mission is to pass on knowledge in Indonesian language and culture on location by local experts in their surroundings. Language can only be fully understood by grasping its people's culture, experiencing their day to day life and perceiving their various traditions. CCTA implements these attributes in all programs and consequently a lot of learning happens outside the classroom. CCTA provides a stimulating direct contact experience with Indonesian society.

The vision is a broader understanding between different cultures through communication on different levels, the academic professional level as well as the focus on market and village surroundings.
CCTA's director, Lucretia Prang, specialises in the field of program co-ordination.
Lucretia has spent 4 years working and living in West Timor, Indonesia and later studied Indonesian language at the Pusat Bahasa in Mataram, Lombok where she also conducted field research for her Masters of Arts Degree. Lucretia is currently on a work assignment for Community Development in Mataram, Lombok and finalises her PhD in Tourism-and Community Development.
CCTA does not only deliver interesting and flexible programs but also helps local village communities to supplement their income by teaching their local traditions to foreigners.
